2013 Scholarship Winner
Each year, the Sunrise Optimist Club of Ventura and the East Ventura Optimist Club offer two scholarships to senior students from Ventura-area high schools to help them start their post-high school education.
Scholarships 2021 - New Approach to Student Support - “We Believe in You”
Starting in Spring, 2021 the Sunrise Optimist Club will not accept scholarship applications. Instead, we will work with VUSD high schools to support nominated students selected by each school. One student at each high school will receive the “We Believe in You” Optimist award to help overcome obstacles to academic success after high school graduation. There will be no application process. Nominations will be made by high school principals.
